Summary:
Omar Joseph Nasser-Khoury (Omarivs Ioseph Filivs Dinæ) is an anti-fashion designer from Palestine who has been working on updating the museum catalogue for the Palestinian textile collection at the British Museum since Spring of 2018. In this lecture he will be discussing some of the findings and achievement of the project as well as reflect on the story of the collection itself and how it came about that the British Museum should own more than 1000 textile objects from Palestine. 
The project in partnership with the British Museum, the Palestine Exploration Fund, the British Council and Birzeit University Museum in Palestine.

Biography:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Omar Joseph Nasser-Khoury (b. 1988, Jerusalem) is a an 'anti-fashion' designer from Palestine,     with a particular interest in rural Palestinian dress and dressmaking traditions. He has recently       co-authored the book 'Seventeen Embroidery Techniques from Palestine: an Instruction  Manual.'  Some of his earlier works have been acquired by the British Museum.
